Child's Store -- Corner of East Main and North Green Streets
This early 19th century brick building is the last of several which lined East Main Street through most of the town's history. This building has been used as a commercial structure for well over 150 years. At the turn of the century, it was "Child's Store" where general merchandise was sold. It later became the first American Store in town, the fore-runner of the present-day Acme Markets.
