Random History Bytes 157: Anne Hutchinson Royal Ancestry 01
----------

The Wikipedia page on Anne (Marbury) Hutchinson (1591-1643), who is a noteworthy person in American history herself, see RHB126, says in the last section titled "Ancestry": "Gary Boyd Roberts and others have published her line of descent on her mother's side". Having acquired the 2018 version of Roberts' two volume set, titled "The Royal Descents of 900 Immigrants" 1, the index showed a Royal ancestry for Anne to King of England Edward I (1239-1307; reign 1272-1307). Keying it into a family tree shows that Edward I is Anne (Marbury) Hutchinson's 11th great grandfather.

What's more, it turns out that almost all of the Royals/Nobles listed for Amelia Throckmorton here, are also Anne Hutchinson's ancestors. A subsequent RHB post will post an analogous table for Anne Hutchinson's Royal/Noble ancestors. Meanwhile, a short list of Little Egg Harbor (LEH) vicinity non-living people who are blood descendants of Anne (Marbury) Hutchinson was made from my working family tree. If you are a blood descendant of any of the people in this list, you are a blood descendant of Anne (Marbury) Hutchinson, and the Royals/Nobles in the Amelia Throckmorton table linked above.

The list only includes spouses if the spouse is also a blood descendant of Anne Hutchinson, by a different (sometimes only slightly) lineage path. If you descend from such a couple, you will be related to Anne in two ways (at least). In simple terms, this means that the couple are distant (and perhaps not so distant, as the case may be) cousins. This is also known as pedigree collapse, and occurs in everyone's tree whether they discover it or not. Why is described here.

If you are a descendant of Anne, you can email me the name from the list by clicking on my name in the header of this page, and I will send you the lineage from that name to Anne (Marbury) Hutchinson, and when I post online the lineage table back in time from Anne in a subsequent post, you will have your Royal lineages, to those found so far in the table, that is. It is likely others will be found with further research.
