Random History Bytes 156: Sarah Mapps Douglass 2
----------

Today's look into interesting history is another view of the importance of the black abolitionist, educator, artist and Quaker (attendee), Sarah Mapps Douglass (1806-1882), whose middle name Mapps came from the black Quaker family of David Mapps (1763-1838) (see RHB153), an accepted member of the Little Egg Harbor (LEH) Friends' Meeting.

An excellent account of her life and significant accomplishments is found here 1 and is today's Random History Byte.
