This day was a 100th Anniversary celebration of the General Lafayette Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) placing the Chestnut Neck Monument to the soldiers of the Revolutionary War. It was a joint ceremony with the efforts of the DAR and the Col. Richard Somers Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).
