Statue of Liberty - Ellis Island - Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal

Photographs by John H. Yates

Unfortunately, in the morning there was a mist in the air. The first pictures reflect that, but later in the day the mist cleared, and the photographs improved.
Most of these photographs show a rectangular defect at the top, or the left side of a portrait orientation. A camera repair shop looked at the camera and photographs and concluded that the curtain inside the camera has become sluggish. It is the second most expensive camera repair behind replacing the sensor. I have ordered a used D3200 (upgrade from D3100) camera body for a little more than half the cost of repairing the D3100.
