Verizon Hall of Shame

Last Update: Tue Jul 19 09:16 EDT 2016
This is an early draft. It will take better shape as I find time.

Verizon

Verizon DSL goes down pretty much EVERY TIME IT RAINS here in New Jersey. After the storm passes, it slowly comes back. What kind of poor customer service is that? This has gone on for over a year, at least.

Down and up July 8, 2016 4:40 PM. Thunder in distance. Not even raining here. Up/down. Very unstable. Very undependable. 5:00 PM down. 5:30 PM storm passed, Internet seems to be back and reliable.

Down (mostly) and up July 18, 2016 6 PM - 8 PM (at least). Rainstorms rolling over southern New Jersey. Such unreliable service. It goes out whenever it rains!

It is interesting to note that the Internet was invented by the government (DARPA, the ARPANET) to allow robust, uninterruptible communications point to point in the event of severe catastrophes. Like nuclear war. If New York were obliterate, the Internet keeps on working, just without New York.

Verizon's implementation can't survive a thunder storm. Ironic, isn't it!

Keywords for the Google Search Engine: Verizon, sucks, worst service, service disaster, management failure, dinosaur technology, management failure, poor customer service, worst customer service ever.
